COURSE OVERVIEW

About this course

Everything you need to understand the course before you begin.

This course introduces the computational study of biomolecular structure. You will learn protein structure basics (primary to quaternary), structural databases such as PDB and UniProt, visualization with PyMOL and ChimeraX, structure alignment and comparison, homology modelling, and AI-based structure prediction with AlphaFold. The course also covers molecular docking, molecular dynamics basics, and how structure analysis supports drug and vaccine design. Basic biology and biochemistry are helpful; prior programming experience is not required.
