Project Research Scientist – II

Banaras Hindu University invites applications for one Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) position under an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)-sponsored project. The research focuses on developing novel therapeutic formulations to improve lesion resolution and skin repigmentation in post-kala-azar dermal leishmaniasis (PKDL).

Assist in planning and conducting research activities related to the assigned ICMR-sponsored project. Contribute to research on therapeutic formulations for post-kala-azar dermal leishmaniasis. Perform relevant laboratory experiments, investigations, and sample analyses according to approved protocols. Support research involving disease biology, host–parasite interactions, and immunological mechanisms, as relevant to the project. Collect, organize, analyze, and interpret experimental data. Maintain accurate laboratory records, research documentation, and experimental reports. Follow laboratory safety procedures, research ethics requirements, and institutional guidelines. Review relevant scientific literature and contribute to research reports, presentations, and manuscripts. Coordinate with the Principal Investigator and other research team members to achieve project objectives. Assist in preparing scientific updates and documenting project progress as required.
